Remigius "Remo" Klacansky

is a young composer, pianist, and music producer, renowned for his versatility and musicality. He was born on December 6th 1993 in Norway but his family moved back to Slovakia in 1996, where his musical journey started at the tender age of three. Remigius quickly showed promise, securing numerous awards at piano competitions in Austria, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. By the age of eleven, he was already captivating audiences as a soloist with the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, showcasing his prodigious talent early on.Expanding his artistic horizons in his later years, Remigius studied composition and media composition at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and Vienna and ventured into film and pop music, collaborating with notable figures in the Czech-Slovak music industry. His work with Michal Novinski, a respected film and theater composer, since 2017 highlights his versatility as a pianist and arranger.
His tenure as pianist for the band led by Slovak violin virtuoso Filip Jancik from 2012 to 2022 included extensive tours in Europe and performances in the USA, Kuwait, and at EXPO2020 in Dubai, reflecting his international appeal.
In 2023, Klacansky took on a significant role as the principal keys player for the band of renowned Slovak singer-songwriter Richard Müller. His involvement in musical productions at the New Stage Theater in Bratislava and his leadership in the BL-Gospel band further demonstrate his wide-ranging musical capabilities, from classical and pop to crossover and film music.Remigius Klacansky's compositional skills have earned him recognition, including the Vienna Film Music Prize 2020 and a 3rd prize at the "Generace 2021" international competition for contemporary classical music and being a finalist in the prestigious "Austrian Composers Media Music Award". His compositional work on successful Slovak TV series such as "Mistresses", "Kuchyna" and "Stastni vs. Stastni" or his music for the „Fashion Ballet 2022“ are among his notable accomplishments.Remigius continues to explore new creative avenues, contributing to projects that span a diverse range of media and audiences.
